Christian Bielke is an Oslo-based graphic designer who works across a broad spectrum of media; ranging from concept development, visual profiling and web design, to printed media, such as editorial design, books, and packaging design.

Background/education

2003 – 2004:
Graphic design at the Mercantile Department (now known as Norway Creative College).

2004 – 2007:
Graphic Design at Westerdals School of Communication. Last year in Westerdals in-house design agency Studio3, working with clients such as Bik Bok, Coca Cola, and Anthon B. Nilsen.

Work experience

2007 – 2010:
Graphic designer in agency Work, working with strategic branding within product design, interior design and communication. During these three years I worked with clients such as Anton Sport, Alf Lie, Bjørn Dæhlie, Fibonacci, Harlem Gourmet, Hamax, Mr. Iceman, F. M. Ramstad, Sport 1 and Ventelo.

Other job experience

Online: Started up, managed, and contributed to some of the first and largest nightlife, music, fashion and design blogs, such as Jubel.fmTheJaywalkers.no, Kjefta.org and Oslonights.no — the latter was first leased by Dagens Næringslivs Friday magazine, D2, and then later sold.

Magazine: Contributed photos and design work to Scandinavia’s biggest hip-hop magazine, Kingsize. Designed around 500 concert posters and CD covers for artists such as 50 Cent, Al Green, Madcon and Nas, among others.

Music: Weekly DJ missions as part of the influential DJ trio Jaywalkers, as well as Hove and Quart.
